Juliana da Penha is a Brazilian journalist based in Scotland and the Founding Editor of Migrant Women Press, an independent media organisation connecting women from diverse backgrounds through journalism. Migrant Women Press offers an intersectional perspective on migration, addressing the misrepresentation of migrant communities and the systemic lack of diversity in the media landscape. Juliana holds a BSc in Cultural Studies and Communication from Lisbon University, an MSc in Human Rights and International Politics from the University of Glasgow, an NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Journalism Innovation and Leadership at the University of Central Lancashire.
