Gaye Crossley has been working in the media industry as a freelance writer for more than 15 years. She specialises in business writing and counts financial service institutions, business schools and industry publications as clients. She graduated in 2024 with a Masters in Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand. Her thesis investigated paywalls in the South African online news space, with a focus on journalism as a public good while still ensuring the sustainability of media organisations. She hopes to further her research in this area by embarking on a PhD in 2025.
