Dr Añulika Agina

Añulika Agina is an Associate Professor of Media Studies, and the program director of the MSc Media and Communication at the Pan-Atlantic University Lagos, where she teaches and researches Nigerian film, media industries, cinema-going cultures and more recently Nollywood women. She has held research fellowships in South Africa, Germany, and lately the United Kingdom, working on the African Screen Worlds: Decolonising Film and Screen Studies” to investigate Nigerian screen cultures. She wrote, produced, and directed a documentary on film exhibition titled Behind My Nollywood Screen (2022), an official selection at the iRepresent International Film Festival in Lagos. She has coedited three books and published her research in reputable journals.
