I am Associate Professor, in SJC, Affiliated with Center for Gender Studies, AAU. I did my PhD in Tromoso University, the Arctic University of Norway in 2014. Currently I am senate member of Addis Ababa University. In addition to teaching and research, I served as Director of the former Teaching Learning support Office of Addis Ababa University, (2020 – 2021); Associate Dean for Graduate Programs of CHLSJC (2018 - 2020) and Coordinator of Print and Web Journalism Program Unit (2015 – 2018). I published number of articles in different international languages, including Gender mainstreaming in media, and Journalism education - an audit of media departments in Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia’ (2016), Co-authored with Azungi, et al, “Gender and Election in the Newspapers’ Narratives” (2015).
